The Devils were recently invited along by Father Christmas to help Thorpe St Andrew Town Council switch on their Christmas lights and we were only too happy to oblige the great bearded one.
Accompanying him on his boat ride along the River Yare as he warmed up the large crowds, the Devils then jointly pushed the plunger and turned on the lights which heralded the arrival of Christmas to our new home town.
Escorting Father Christmas through the crowd while posing for many a photo with the young, old and animal members of the local community, they finally reached his Grotto, within the remains of the magnificent tower built in 1866, where they got to be the first to tell the man in red what they would like for Christmas. So we can expect a fair few touchdowns and wins in 2017.
We would like to thank Thorpe St Andrew Town Council and the brilliant local community for their hospitality on the night.
The Devils would also like to wish all their supporters a Very Merry Christmas and Wonderful New Year.
