Earlier today the Norwich Devils left the comfort of the gridiron for Tesco’s at Harford bridge in support of Diabetes UK and the British Heart foundation. Organised by current Devil and Tesco’s management team member James Patterson the Devils took to the store front to rattle the buckets in search of donations. James was joined by other Devils players throughout the day including running backs Ian Hardy & Alan Baxter-Smith, defensive lineman Russ Groves, linebacker Ed Hales-Greer and offensive lineman Liam Lane.

Senior Team Head coach Mark Hoskins praised the efforts of the players saying, “I dropped down after youth practice and it was pretty cold at the front of the store… even in full kit. Despite the weather they’d collected a lot of cash and were attracting a lot of interest from the shoppers. They knew why they were there and braved the conditions with a smile on their face. Proper proud of them!”
