Local American Football Club In Need Of Coaches & Volunteers

The Norwich Devils will soon be closing the books on the 2014 season at their annual general meeting in November. The Devils have managed to build successfully on the efforts of the previous year by completing their first full season of youth football, announcing the formation of a junior program and continuing to grow interest in the senior squad.

As with any amateur organisation the Devils require a helping hand from the local community to keep the wheels turning. The Devils are currently looking to recruit committee members and coaches for the season ahead.

Coaching Roles

The Devils are looking for coaches to join the club. It doesn’t matter if you are an experienced coach moving from another program or somebody who’d like to give it a go. All are welcome. What you will need is a minimum of a BAFA Level 1 coaches certificate. Don’t worry if you are new to the sport as we can arrange to have you placed on a course as soon as possible.

Currently our Youth and Junior teams practice Saturday mornings while the Senior team practices on Sunday afternoons. If you’d like to become a coach at the Devils please use our contact form HERE.

Committee Roles

The committee is the backbone of the Devils organisation taking care of all the administrative tasks associated with keeping the club running. At the end of every year the outgoing committee steps down and a new one is voted in. All of the committee positions are voluntary with no annual salary. To give our members the best possible choice of administrators the club invites applications for any position within the club. Currently the elected positions are:

Senior Team Positions

General Manager
Secretary
Treasurer
Head Coach

Youth/Junior Team Positions

General Manager
Secretary
Treasurer
Head Coach

Other positions appointed after the elected officers have been voted in include:

Sponsorship Manager
Recruitment Manager
Equipment Manager
Webmaster
Game Day manager
PR Manager

Candidates who wishes to apply for any of the roles above can do so using our contact form HERE. When applying we would ask that all applicants provide a short statement outlining any qualifications they have relevant to the application, a list of past & present associations with ofther BAFA organisations and reasons for wishing to join the Devils. All applications must be submitted by Firiday, November 14th 2014.
