Norwich Devils Support Local Business TCN Merchandise With Their New Poppies4kits initiative

The Norwich Devils Senior team recently donned their kit for a promotional photo shoot in support of local promotional goods manufacturer TCM Merchandise. The imitative is aimed at providing amateur sports clubs the opportunity to support the Royal British Legion’s poppy appeal through the sale of safe and durable self-adhesive patches that can be placed onto a teams existing kit.

Poppies4Kits is working In Support of the Royal British Legion to raise funds for the Poppy Appeal.

After seeing the Premier League stars raise thousands by having their shirts embroidered with the poppy emblem, we thought it would be a fantastic idea if all youth clubs could follow the lead of the Premier League clubs and have a poppy on their shirts.  The problem we acknowledged is that to have embroidery onto a shirt is not only permanent, but an expensive option.  With the Poppy Appeal traditionally over 1 weekend, a lot of clubs would not want to mark their kits permanently.

So we have developed a Self Adhesive woven patch, easily applied, wear for the match, then remove afterwards, even spectators can apply these to their garments and then remove after the event.

We’re hoping to get the full support of the local County FA’s and all the countries Leagues in promoting this out to all their member clubs.  And remember, this is not just for the football world, any sport or organisation can be supportive of this option.

We have set ourselves a target of £10,000, but we are hoping to smash this, but need your help.  We are spending the next few months promoting the idea, and will hopefully have the poppies available for sale later in May 2014 in plenty of time for this years 100 years anniversary.

Shortly we will be seeking some clubs to actively support our project by having photos done with the poppies applied, if you’re a club that would like to help on this, please get in touch.

For now though, we need as much help as possible in promoting this campaign out, so we ask that you help us spread the word, we are very active on twitter, so please follow & retweet as much as possible.  Please also actively ask your Leagues to promote & support for this great cause.

The poppies will be sold via the website with all profits going to the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
